What a great weekend – Saturday night at the Apollo Bay RSL Club, sold out show, great crowd, great craic – and the Sunday session at the middle pub.
Really enjoyed meeting some of the locals and many thanks to Louey, Jimmy and Christy Cooney and all the crew for their hard work over the weekend.
There’s a bloke down there by the name of Roger who runs the raffles and keeps things ticking along – he’s got hands like shovels and is a dead ringer for Fred Brophy – turns out he actually fought in Fred’s tent a few times, small world.
Anyway, I sang him a song I wrote a few years ago about Brophy’s Tent – here’s the video we made of it, post it below so Roger can have a squizz.
