Hi folks,
Due to an administrative error, this Sunday’s Shanakee gig at the Bay Hotel in Mornington is not happening.
Sorry for any inconvenience. We’ll be there next on Sunday, March 17th for St Patrick’s Day. It’ll be a cracker.

This Sunday at the Celtic Club, we’ll be launching the brand spanking new album – Weeds and Wildflowers. 52 years in the making… Support by the Cooney brothers and Louey Hesterman – it’s going to be a massive day!
Look forward to seeing you there
Last Shanakee shows for the year and we can look back and reflect on a pretty solid 12 months for the band.
A good number of shows played, a good few pints drunk and a new album in the can.
Many thanks to Shanakee fans and friends, old and new, who come out and support us.
Thanks to the Bay Hotel in Mornington for their continued support and for the great gig. Thanks also to the Celtic Club and all other venues who have hosted us throughout the year.
Our first show for 2012 will be an Australia Day early afternoon concert at the Sorrento-Portsea RSL Club. Our new CD will be available then too.
We mastered Kieran’s brand spanking new album today with the inimitable Simon Polinski – an awesome experience and a fantastic result! Simon has a list of credits as long as the arms of a very long armed man – from Paul Kelly to The Church, Toni Childs to Andy White, he’s been involved with some of the greatest albums ever made. I felt very fortunate to sit there with the great man, talk with him and watch him work. Simon Polinski’s credits
He gave the album the thumbs up, by the way, which is always nice!
The album will be launched at the Celtic Club on Sunday, February 3rd.
