The dust settles on another great St Pat’s weekend – Saturday night’s show at the Rosebud Country Club was a ripper – the addition of piper Brad Sewell and our dancing troupe, the Shanakettes was fantastic and really helped make the night a huge success.
On Sunday, our regular monthly show at the Bay Hotel in Mornington happily coincided with St Patrick’s Day and it was massive. No word of a lie here folks – the crowd was huge, the band played its collective guts out (no mean feat in itself) and it was simply a fantastic day.
I don’t reckon there’s a much better feeling than standing on stage in front of a full house singing the Fields of Athenry. We didn’t leave much in the tank suffice to say and Kieran and I were pretty hoarse today.
Brad and the amazing dancers were once again a part of the afternoon and really helped make the afternoon spectacular.
Thanks to the folks at the Rosebud Country Club for their hospitality and to management and bar staff at The Bay – they were hammered on the Sunday and poured many hundreds of pints with a smile!
Already xcited about St Paddys 2014 x luv from shanakette number 2 🙂
